It is such a powerful weapon, but sometimes
I don’t realize that…
Every idle word I say that is not wise
can kill the soul of another.
I’d be judged for it, if not now, (1)
I’ll reap the bitter fruits later.
But, every well-chosen and God anointed word brings
healing, comfort, joy, and strength.
Prayer—communication with God—is the only way
to be able to know when to say what, and how to say it.
Lord, I give my mouth to You;
my mind with all its thoughts and reasonings, I give to You.
May You cleanse and anoint it…
I want to be a vessel of healing,
not a vessel of hurt…
Heal my heart and heal my mind…
so that my words be refined.
